Workshop organization and structure

Authors and collaborators: Main authors will be invited to write papers (suggested length: 3-6 pages). It is intended to invite four authors from abroad and some from Argentina. Authors may write about all the aforementioned topics or some of them.
Papers should be submitted before the end of August, 2010, so that the members of the organizing committee and other guest collaborators have enough time to study and analyze them. Workshop participants will receive a CD copy of the submitted and analyzed material.

Audience: Around 50 participants are expected to attend the Workshop. Besides the authors of “White Papers” and the members of Organizing Committee, attendees will comprise:

• A group of distinguished foreign engineers, who will participate in the World Congress “ENGINEERING 2010 –
ARGENTINA”, will be chosen and invited once the attendees to the Congress are confirmed.
• A group of Argentine participants who represent the community of scientists, engineers, businessmen and public
officers, interested in the topic and with knowledge of it.
• A group of young engineers or advanced engineering students who will be chosen among those participants of the
Forum “Young People in Engineering and Business” which will take place next October 17, during the World
  Congress “ENGINEERING 2010 – ARGENTINA”.

Workshop Structure: The Workshop will include three sessions (from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.), with presentations of the documents by their own authors, in front of an audience which will have the possibility of making comments and questions to the lecturers. This activity will take place in the morning of Saturday 16th October 2010. In the afternoon, the Organizing Committee, together with the authors of the “white papers”, will write down the conclusions and suggestions arising from these papers, the contributions made by guest collaborators, and the interaction during the workshop. The conclusions and suggestions will be summarized and introduced to three chapters of the World Congress “ENGINEERING 2010 – ARGENTINA”: the “Young People Forum" and the Thematic Chapters: “Engineering Education for Sustainable Development” and “Engineering Professional Practice”.

Language: The language of the Workshop will be English.
