National Preparatory Congress "Information and Communication for the knowledge Society”, Córdoba June 16th, 17th and 18th 2009 - CNIT2009

The National Preparatory Congress “Information and Communication for the knowledge Society” will be held on June 16th, 17th and 18th. Its objective is to perform academic presentations which will represent our country’s contribution to the Specific Congress on Technology, within the frame of the World Congress and Exhibition: Engineering 2010- Argentina, organized by FMOI and UADI, and to be held during the celebration of the bicentennial of the first patriotic government, in Buenos Aires City, and with the purpose of emphasizing engineering role in Technology, Innovation and Production for Sustainable Development.

The Executive Commission CNIT2009, jointly with the Center of Engineers of Córdoba and Universities with Engineering studies in Córdoba City kindly invites you to participate in the National Preparatory Congress: “Information and Communication for the knowledge Society”, which will be held in Córdoba, Argentina on June 16th, 17th and 18th 2009, coinciding with “Engineering Day”.

The objective of this Congress is to perform academic presentations that will represent our country’s contribution to the Specific Congress on Technology, within the frame of the World Congress Engineering 2010, organized by FMOI and UADI, and which will be held during the celebration of the bicentennial of the first patriotic government, in Buenos Aires City, and with the purpose of emphasizing engineering role in Technology, Innovation and Production for Sustainable Development.

It is expected to promote awareness of research, development and innovation activities that are carried out within the engineering field in general and specially in relation to Information Systems Engineering and Software Engineering.

Furthermore, we expect to offer a discussion forum to facilitate information and knowledge interchange among the professionals of engineering as a whole.  

Besides, common activities will be carried out, among which there will be round tables and plenary conferences that will deal with issues such as Research and Information Technology, Information Technology and Training, Relationship with companies and Information Technology Profession, etc.

The largest areas of interest within the congress are:

1. ICTs with the cultural and linguistic diversity for a real knowledge society.

2. Technological Development (Information Technology, telecommunications and massive media)

3. Safety in Information Technology Society.

4. Application of Information Technology in Engineering.
