PREPARATORY CONFERENCE “RENEWABLE AND NON RENEWABLE ENERGY”, OCTOBER 22 – 24, 2009,  COMODORO RIVADAVIA

The Center of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors of Comodoro Rivadavia is organizing the Preparatory Conference “Renewable and Non-renewable Energy” which will take place in Comodoro Rivadavia next October 22 – 24, 2009.

The most relevant topics which will be dealt with in this event are: “Conventional energies”, which include: Hydrocarbon – Gas and Oil: Present and Future; Hydroelectricity: “Los Monos” Dam and the off-shore hydrocarbon exploitation. The other topic of interest will be: “Non-conventional energies”. In this case, the lectures will discuss: Wind energy: Current development, regional and world analyses. Perspectives; Marine energy: Wave power: TAFRE Project; Hydrogen energy: technology and development. Besides there will be a global analysis of energy: its origins alternatives; its effects on the climatic phenomenon; energy and sustainable development: thoughts and policies; and their influence on society.

Organizers have also scheduled a visit to the Hydrocarbon Plant “CAPSA DIADEMA” on that Saturday 24.
