Engineer Bauer, who is a member of the Central Executive Committee that manages the Academic Program of the World Congress and Exhibition: "ENGINEERING 2010-ARGENTINA: Technology, Innovation and Production for Sustainable Development" tells us why there have been changes in the technical program of the Congress and which the main changes are.

Question: Which are the main changes or modifications made in the technical program?
Conrado Bauer: The changes have originated as a result of an international and national assessment, carried out during the last few months, in relation to the initial proposal of holding ten simultaneous "congresses" within the World Congress. The analyzed ideas, emphasized on the convenience of concentrating, to a greater extent, the general agenda and the specific topics for each of the "congresses" foreseen in order to obtain fewer simultaneous meetings but clearly individualized ones, and to have fewer topics to be dealt with in every meeting, which in turn will allow to reach conclusions more deeply analyzed, more concrete and better prepared to be internationally adopted in a more effective way.

Question: Why has the term "congresses" been replaced by "chapters"? What is the difference?
Conrado Bauer: The change of the term "congress", in reference to each for the ten ones initially included in the "World Congress: ENGINEERING 2010-ARGENTINA", was due to the convenience of expressing its meaning, the idea that it was a unique World Congress, made up of several sub-congresses which dealt with different topics but which had to tackle the core topic of the congress: "technology, innovation and production for sustainable development" within their specializations. Therefore, it was decided to use the word "Chapter" to designate each of the sub-congresses and, in this way, indicate that despite its leading autonomy and its international nature, they were not independent from each other but, each and every one of them are part of a unique World Congress (Chapter as part of a whole).

Question:  Which are now the main chapters of the World Congress ENGINEERING 2010-ARGENTINA?
Conrado Bauer: Currently, the technical program consists of eight Chapters: four Technical ones, four Specific ones and two Forums.
