ENGINEERING 2010- ARGENTINA Call for Papers

General conditions to be complied with by the papers- Papers Submission

The Central Executive Committee has set the following requirements for the papers to be submitted to the Congress.

* Call for papers: July 1st 2009
* Submission on - line at the link of Paper Submission in the website: August 31st 2009.

1. The papers should focus on the core topic of the Congress: “Technology, innovation and production for sustainable development”, and on the guidelines and objectives of the corresponding Chapter according to: 1) They can be unpublished papers presenting research personally performed by the submitter, either individually or together with other people; 2) Unpublished papers of dissemination; 3) A substantially updated and adapted version of the author’s previous papers.

2. Every paper must be preceded by a summary or abstract of no more than 150 words.

3. Abstracts and final papers receipt will immediately be confirmed by e-mail upon reception.

4. Those presenting papers must first submit an abstract of such papers. After receiving abstract acceptance notification, the authors will send the final paper which text must not exceed 2400 words.  

5. The Organizing Committee of each Chapter will analyze the abstracts and full papers received and will decide, by their sole evaluation, whether the paper is finally accepted for presentation at the Congress or whether it is rejected for being inconsistent with the form and content required by the Technical Program of the Congress.

6. Presentation of papers at the Congress will be made in one of the following ways: 1) Individual oral presentation; 2) Oral presentation by means of a panel or round table; or 3) Graphic presentation by means of a poster. The Organizing Committee of each Chapter will consider the characteristics of every paper and the available time for its presentation during the technical sessions so that it is performed according to the above mentioned alternatives.

7. The papers that are not selected will not be given back to their authors.

8. Presentation of papers during the Congress will have to be personally made by their authors; no substitute people will be accepted to replace them.

9. The summaries or abstracts corresponding to the selected papers, and whose authors have registered to participate in the Congress before August 31st 2010, will be included in a printed issue to be distributed to all the registrants at the beginning of the Congress.

10. The two most outstanding papers selected in each Chapter will be awarded an acknowledgement certificate and will be part of the Congress Summary Book together with the most important conclusions and recommendations as well as with the list of registrants. This Summary Book will be published at the end of the Congress.

11. The Abstracts can be submitted either in English or in Spanish. In case they are accepted, authors must send the final papers in English or Spanish jointly with the summary translated into both languages. It would be advisable, though not compulsory, that the authors submit a final paper in both languages before the beginning of the Congress.

The papers must be submitted by e-mail to the Coordination or over the “Paper Submission” link in the web page. However, in exceptional cases where local infrastructure for accessing the Internet is unavailable, submissions by ordinary means (fax or post) will be accepted.
