The recently created High-Level Panel on Global Sustainability brings together leading global policymakers, private sector and civil society experts in order to formulate a new blueprint for sustainable growth and low-carbon prosperity. It will issue its final report by the end of 2011.

In this regard, Engineer Conrado Bauer, Academic Director of the World Congress and Exhibition: ENGINEERING 2010 – ARGENTINA, states: “I think it has been a very good decision on the part of the United Nations to create a high-level international panel to update the analysis on sustainable development and renew the search for social equity and the eradication of extreme poverty. Let us hope that the preparation of this report will invite the world-wide participation of all those interested in contributing to the formulation of proposals committing effective actions, beyond the necessary statements that set forth underlying criteria”.
