ENGINEERING 2010 - ARGENTINA has already begun its last year of planning and the hard work this requires has been intensified accordingly.
In October, there were several meetings that have rekindled the will and enthusiasm of building an event which should not be an aim but rather a starting point of the project of the country all Argentine people dream of.
In this sense, the Professional Council of Mechanical and Electric Engineering (COPIME) organized an outstanding Congress on Environmental Sciences. Moreover, the third Plenary Meeting of the National Advisory Council took place in the Argentine Center of Engineers, with the attendance of many representatives of the areas of research, technology, innovation and production. The city of Comodoro Rivadavia was also the scenario of a great National Preparatory Congress on “Renewable and Non-renewable Energy”, with distinguished personalities of the national energy sector. During this event, the Center of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors of Comodoro Rivadavia celebrated its 50th Anniversary and showed its excellence in organizing such an extraordinary meeting.
In the city of La Plata and, doing justice to its recognition as a university city, the Center of Engineers of the Province of Buenos Aires organized the National Preparatory Congress “Engineering Education for Sustainable Development”. Also in this meeting, we had the opportunity of listening to enriching lectures, delivered by relevant people of high professional level.
Finally, from November 2 to 6, Kuwait the Society of Engineers organized a congress on alternative energy applications, sponsored by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations. ENGINEERING 2010 – ARGENTINA has been represented by a delegation presided by Mario Wiegers, Vice-president of the Central Executive Committee and President of the Chapter “Energy and climate change” of our event, and has placed a advertising stand to promote the event.
We are on our way; let us go on working together and with enthusiasm so as to have a successful Congress in 2010.
Till next publication.
