Preparatory Congress “Trends in Professional Practice"
The National Preparatory Congress “Trends in Professional Practice” was held in the city of Mar Del Plata, Argentina, last August 20-21. It was organized by the Center of Engineers of Mar del Plata, with the collaboration of the Association of Engineers of the Province of Buenos Aires, District II.
The opening ceremony had the presence of Engineer Mario Telickevsky, president of the Central Executive Committee of the World Congress and Exhibition: ENGINEERING 2010- ARGENTINA. Among those present were Engineer Luis Di Benedetto, president of the Argentine Center of Engineers (CAI), Engineer Conrado Bauer and Ms. Carina Carrasco, Academic Director and coordinator of the Congress, respectively, as well as representatives of the Argentine Union of Associations of Engineers (UADI).
The president of the National Advisory Council, Engineer Miguel A. Yadarola, the president of the Organizing Committee of Chapter “Professional Practice of Engineering” (PPE) Engineer Gustavo Darín, and Engineer Pablo Bereciartúa, president of the Forum: “Young People in Engineering and Business - YPEB” (JIE) also attended the event.
The Academic Program was carried out at the Hermitage Hotel. Very interesting lectures were delivered by Engineers Conrado Bauer, Miguel Ángel Yadarola, Domingo Gandolfo, Juan Pardó, Pablo Bereciartúa, Eduardo Pedacce and Alejandro Nikolic, as key-note speakers of the Congress. In addition, selected papers written by engineers José Luis Ovcak, Luis Merida, Julio Gonzalez Lelong and Roberto Giordano Lerena were presented orally.
